Australia’s agricultural exporters say they’ll feel immediate benefits from this weekend, as the China free trade deal comes into effect. The major trade deal enters into force on Sunday, when the first round of tariff cuts will be made, and exporters only have to wait a couple of weeks before tariffs are cut again in January. But there are warnings too, that reduced tariffs don’t matter unless Australia can win access for products currently blocked from China.
